Nicole Pierson is the mother of a pediatric brain tumor patient who has received compassionate use from Pfizer. Her son Gavin was the first pediatric patient to use Ibrance. She is a mathematics teacher and holds a Master’s degree in Teaching and Learning and an Education Specialist degree in Brain Based learning. Nicole, along with her husband Steve and three children, live in Ramsey, MN, a suburb of the Twin Cities. Nicole is a regular guest author for Caring Bridge and has written articles for Children’s Hospital of MN. She is an advocate for pediatric cancer research and new treatments for rare brain tumors.
