Cathy McGuiness

Cathy McGuinness is the Director, Commercial Sourcing, Global Clinical Supply at Pfizer Inc. with a passion for patient access to healthcare.
Cathy graduated with a Masters in Clinical Laboratory Medicine in 1996. Since that time, Cathy has worked internationally in various vendor and Pharma roles to lead the timely delivery of clinical supplies, laboratory requirements and data in support of clinical trials, investigator research and compassionate projects.
Today, Cathy leads the Clinical Research Sourcing Strategist team to develop sourcing strategies for open label commercial products in clinical development programs. These strategies balance cost and risk across central, local and site sourcing options and maintain continuity of supply to the patient throughout the lifecycle of the protocol. In this role, Cathy and her team partners with a network of global vendors to procure and warehouse commercial materials, and to execute any labelling and distribution requirements for local sourcing solutions.
