WS14.2 – Managing Local Clinical Supply of Comparators

Pharmaceutical companies are focusing efforts on the development of Local Sourcing capabilities in order to gain visibility, control and consistency of clinical trial supply within country. Without a governance structure and operational model in place local affiliates or sites may source material and perform labelling in varied ways, potentially in a non-compliant manner. Harnessing local sourcing, to enable local purchases of material that stays locally, brings multiple benefits, but how should this be done effectively and efficiently? During this workshop we will explore various options and key considerations such as organizational structure, key decision drivers, quality oversight / compliance and practical requirements for packaging, labelling, and distribution.
