About
Robert Kamphuis is the Senior Director of Global Clinical Supply International Operations Asia for Pfizer's Asia Clinical Supply Chain. He has over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, encompassing both commercial manufacturing and packaging, as well as clinical supply chain roles. Prior to joining Pfizer, he served as the General Manager and Director of Business Development for Fisher Clinical Services in Japan, and earlier as a Business Development Manager for Bushu Pharmaceuticals in Japan. Robert played a pivotal role in establishing the Japan ISPE Investigational Product Committee Of Practice (IP COP) as a foundation and Steering Committee member. He led the Japan GxP task group through two consecutive terms before delegating responsibilities to new members. He has been a speaker and presenter at various conferences in Japan, Asia, and the USA, including BioAsia, GCSC, and ISPE. His presentations have covered topics such as manufacturing and packaging in Japan, clinical supplies and GMPs for Japan and Asia, and experiences with clinical supplies contingencies during and after the Great North Eastern “Tohoku” Earthquake in 2011. Currently residing in Tokyo, Japan, with his wife, daughter, and son, Robert enjoys an outdoor lifestyle that includes hiking, skiing, photography, and videography. During quieter moments, he likes to relax and enjoy a wide genre of movies.
