Annex VI – unique blinded vial identifyer instead of blinded batch number?

In Annex VI, Item 1.(d). lists “batch or code number identifying the contents and packaging operation”. Is a blinded unique serialization number on each vial (sans batch number) typically understood to satisfy this requirement?
