Reply To: Date format for IMP In EU

My understanding is that MM/YYYY is always preferred as an all-numeric date avoids the need to translate the abbreviated month. That is the format that I have seen with most of the sponsors that I have worked for or with.

I have also seen labels that include both DD/MM/YYYY and YYYY/MM/DD for studies that included China as we were told that the later format was preferred. This has always made me a little uneasy as both are all-numeric and 07/02/2023 | 2023/02/07 still seems ambiguous to my colleagues and I. However, the labels have consistently made it through EU QP release and have been used without issue. The issue with the QP may be due to the month being spelled out without being translated for each country for which the product is being released.
