In my experience, PPID is performed when you have blinded materials and need to confirm no mix ups have occurred. For example, if you have a PBO, 50mg and 100mg capsule that all look the same, you would test each time you primary package to confirm the strength. If your products are visually different, PPID should not be required, you can confirm by appearance.
