Hi, I am a bit concerned by the weight difference in 50-100 grams being a bottle 50-100mL (of say water for injection being used as a placebo) to an active vial (of say 5-10 mL). Additional options to those Ed suggested – find a smaller placebo volume in vials. Also if these are both vial presentations – there is a company who produce masking units for vials that may negate the procedural complexity required for unblinded pharmacists and monitors at every site to work with blinded staff:
