From our experience, we have DD-MMM-YYYY in the US, although in the US you dont have to include the expiry date on the labels.
In Europe, we have been advise from the QC department to have MM-YYYY on multilanguage booklet labels, as including the day makes the overprinting of the expiry date a lot more expensive and complicated, due to the different languages having different nomenclatures for each month.
