The Global Clinical Supplies Group is a membership body for clinical supply and related professionals. In 1988, a group of clinical supply professionals came together to share experience and tackle challenges, sparking a community that continues to shape the industry today.
We started as the Midwest Clinical Supplies Group (MCSG), with 20 people from 10 companies attending our first conference. By 2009, GCSG had become independent and volunteer-led, with more than 160 participants representing 55 organizations. From our first conference around a table, GCSG has grown into a global network. Through in-person and digital experiences, our community continues to exchange ideas, solve challenges, and support progress across clinical trials.

Professionalism, integrity, and candor involve mutual respect for one another and each other’s value. We emphasize the importance of open and honest discussions regarding expectations and deliverables while holding each other to the highest standards. This approach encourages avoiding “groupthink” and fosters an environment where individuals feel safe to disagree with the majority respectfully. Additionally, during moments of mistakes, failures, or conflicts, we demonstrate compassion and empathy by recognizing that everyone is human.
These traits are practiced in board meetings, executive committee discussions, team meetings, and during any decision-making process.
