Keynote
Guy Disney
Space for Giants
Guy Disney served in the British Army for seven years, deploying to Afghanistan on two operational tours. On his first tour, his troop was ambushed by the Taliban. The ambush consisted of small arms fire and a volley of RPGs being launched, one of which hit the vehicle he was commanding. The attack resulted in the death of one of his soldiers and the amputation of his right leg below the knee.
On return to the UK, Guy joined an expedition to the Geographic North Pole which was successfully completed in Apr 2011. Upon leaving the military in 2013 Guy worked as the expedition planner and team captain for an expedition to the South Pole, the pole was reached in December 2013. To date, he is the only amputee to have completed expeditions to both the North and South Pole.
Prior to joining the military, he rode as a jump jockey and had his racing license refused on medical grounds post injury – he eventually regained his racing license in 2015 winning races becoming the first amputee to do so in Great Britain. In 2019 he rode over the Grand National fences.
He was appointed MBE in the 2020 Queen’s Birthday Honours and a Deputy Lieutenant of Gloucestershire in 2021.
He sits on the diversity in racing steering group for the British Horseracing Association and is a trustee for Walking with the Wounded.
He currently works in central and Southern Africa training anti-poaching units.

Donna Christopher

Donna Christopher is Global Vice President of Operations at Almac Clinical Services, responsible for the operations of Almac’s Durham facility of over 400 employees, as well as the Business System Adoption team that provides support for Almac’s clinical services software and technology. Prior to assuming her role as Global Vice President, Donna was managing director of Almac’s Durham facility. She joined Almac in 2000, after Almac’s acquisition of the Duke Clinical Research Institute (DCRI) Pharmacy, where she had served as the Director of Pharmacy Services. She has a background as an investigation drug pharmacist and graduated with a B.S. in Pharmacy from Ohio Northern University.
Christophe Sutin

Christophe Sutin is a Supply Chain and Technology expert with 17+ years of experience at big multinationals before making the switch to clinical-stage company Pharvaris earlier this year.
Starting his career in the automotive industry at General Motor's Chevrolet in 2005, where he was responsible for the inventory of spare parts for one, and later several, regional European warehouses before overseeing the European source warehouse. Transitioning to biotech giant Amgen in 2010, where he took on specialist roles with increased responsibilities in Clinical Supply Chain for over 9 years and spent another 3 years within Interactive Response Technology (IRT), implementing and maintaining IRT systems. As of June 2022, it was time to combine the Clinical Supply Chain and IRT experience to support clinical-stage company Pharvaris' growth.
Christophe's hands-on mentality and unique skillset of understanding how the technical IRT language merges with Clinical Supply Chain and business needs, he's a valuable team player ensuring all are on the same page. With his 'people over technology' adage, he is a strong believer that technology is there for support, but it's the people that make the difference!

Having worked in the field of clinical research for 20 years, 18 of which have been IRT related, I have gained in-depth knowledge as a vendor manager supporting projects awarded by sponsors, and as the sponsor managing vendors, and this insight gives me a unique perspective when developing IRT systems.
My experience has aided me in developing IRT systems which are intuitive, and in turn result in high compliance, accurate data, and minimal data change requests.
As an IRT vendor manager, I am always looking for ways to innovate and standardise the IRT systems we use to provide an easy, user-friendly environment for conducting clinical trials.

In recent years he has specialised in cold chain logistics for clinical trials. This has entailed handling a wide range of product types including, cell therapies, viral vectors, monoclonal antibodies and vaccines. In his current role as Director of Quality and Regulatory Services he assists Sponsors with all their Quality requirements from QP audits to advice on difficult deviations and he is growing a new Regualtory service offering to support Sponsors with Regulatory writing and submissions.
